Desmond Ngai
Senior Vice President at WebTVAsia Desmond Ngai is a seasoned entrepreneur, consultant and professional in the Asia Pacific media and entertainment industry since 2007.He is currently Senior Vice President, Global Alliances of WebTVAsia based in Kuala Lumpur HQ. His key responsibilities include developing strategic alliances and partnerships with global government, investor, media and commercial stakeholders. He also supports strategic initiatives by the Group CEO and Group COO to launch new markets, verticals and JVs. Prior to this, he was Head of Investment at Malaysian government agency Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) where he led Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) promotion of the nation’s creative multimedia sectors. He also had an extensive stint with leading media companies Media Prima, Endemol Shine and Total Sports Asia.
Desmond is an electrical engineer by training with an MBA from Victoria University Melbourne, as well as a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with Stanford University's Center for Professional Development. |
